Just a heads up, my book The Homeschool Highway: How To Navigate Your Way Without Getting Carsick is FREE for Kindle today on Amazon (Thursday, January 3rd). Why not add it to your collection...and while you're at it, share the news?

  1. Just got my copy yesterday. LOVE it! Every bit of it rings true to our current journey! You just might have saved me a fortune in designer hankies because now I can stop pulling out my hair and won't have need to hide my baldness. I lol with your humor, but mostly I just sigh with relief. You give practical insight and hope to this VERY burned-out Mom. Thank you!

    1. Thank you so much for reading and for leaving a comment here (and at Amazon) to tell me what you thought! Your kind words are like candy. :) I hope you are armed now with a little gusto to make it through those potholes...while KEEPING your hair! Enjoy your journey!

  2. I found a link to your book through a homeschooling group I subscribed to and I am so glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your book! You gave me so much to think about, especially the part about you (the parent) having to create opportunities for the kids to socialize. I find that especially hard because I am an introvert, so going to park days or field trips where I don't know anyone is a source of anxiety for me... Anyway, you made me realize that I HAVE to get over those issues, if not for me for my kids's sake. Thank you!

    1. Thank you so much for reading and stopping here to tell me what you thought of the book! I'm glad you enjoyed it and that it gave you things to think about. I'm an introvert too so I think some of the biggest lessons I've had to learn is that getting out there, even though its not what I necessarily want to do, is important for the kids. Hang in there...and enjoy the ride!

  4. I'm sad that I missed the free book day, but I have enjoyed following your blog for awhile now, and am looking forward to reading anything else you write. Even though I only have about $10 left in my checking account till we get paid tomorrow, I just spent $2.99 of it on your Kindle book! Best of luck with it! :D
