I'm currently working on my third book. My darling Hmmmschoolers have learned to accept this as mom is at work and have been asked to not barge in unless they are missing a limb or bleeding...a lot.
My almost-ten-year-old Hmmschooler asked me yesterday if I might consider starting work at 9 am and continue working until 9 pm.
"12 hours of writing? Everyday?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said. "Because if you had that much time to write, you'd finish books all the time. And then we'd be rich."
(My son still thinks writers are rich. He will figure out the truth eventually.)
"That would be a lot of time to write," I agreed. "And I'd probably get a lot done. But if I was busy all day with writing...you'd probably end up having to go to public school."
His face turned serious.
"Oh. Well...never mind then. Two and half hours of writing per night is plenty."
Yah. That's what I thought. :)
We know you are secretly rich and that is how you fund that secret life of yours :)
